    • The Amidons are founding members of Hallowell an a cappella SATB hospice singing group that has been an inspiration to the formation of scores of other independent a cappella SATB hospice singing groups.
    • Kathy Leo, the founding director of Hallowell, has written a wonderful book about hospice singing: On the Breath of Song, that is highly recommended, particular for those starting a new hospice singing group.
    • The DVD Holding Our Own is a film about death and dying that features Hallowell and their hospice singing work.
