100% of the proceeds from purchases of "We Are Almost Home" go to Dr. Ysaye Barnwell. Peter Amidon transcribed this performance by Sweet Honey in the Rock from their 2000 children's album "Still the Same Me". Dr. Barnwell gave Peter permission to include his transcription of the arrangement of this traditional African spiritual in this online library store. "We Are Almost Home" was also in the repertoire of the Fisk Jubilee Singers, an African American vocal ensemble who started touring the United States in 1876.
